I think it's time to pay a visit and learn not just a few things about scripture in depth, but also the biblical roots and it's Jewishness. - littleswol: I did wonder about the "armed". I have heard all kinds of stories that include; the Israelites had many mercenaries with them and that they were placed in Goshen to protect Egypt from ppl entering the land along that trade route. I believe the Israelites coming out of Egypt have a solid history of being mighty men of valor and fighters. Sefer Ha Yasher is pretty intense and violent!......I do however agree they were not ready for war yet.

- littleswol: That was pretty deep. I think a lot of people coming out of the church are very untrusting of leaders. I know I was but over time and studying I can see how there needs to be righteous leaders and there is a chain of command. So many Messianics that I've met do not want leadership and just want to be lead by the ruach. Its sad and disheartening.....Great message Rabbi!

- Yehudit: I agree with most of this article but to have a quote relating our Meshiach to a Pagan Festival is confusing as christmas is not even the time when Yeshua was born, so it really is NOT portraying anything to do with a Jewish Messiah. It actually portrays all of the falseness of Nimrod and the deceptions of Babylon. Your site is awesome but any mention of Pagan practices other than for the purpose of saying that they DO NOT represent Judaism or our Meshiach merely keeps people sitting on the fence between Judaism and christianity and Yeshua and Jesus. - Susan B.: My husband has Jewish Ancestry (his Mother & Paternal Grandmother were of Jewish descent - their families converted to Catholicism during the Holocaust), & we have been watching Messianic Shabbat Services every week, since we are seniors, he is disabled & we don't get out of the house much. During the High Holy Days, however, we participated in online streaming services of a Reformed Jewish Synagogue. Aside from their not believing in Yeshua HaMashiach, I was very blessed by those services. I have been working very hard to learn Hebrew, as well as to know more about the Holidays, etc. Although I am technically non-Jewish, I would also like to see more Jewishness in the Messianic Jewish Faith. And it saddens me that several Reformed Synagogues livestream services during Holidays, but I haven't found one Messianic Jewish Synagogue that does this. In fact, only recently has there been an increase in livestream Shabbat Services - several years ago, one was lucky to even find one audio service on the Internet. I really don't want to be a goyim, & I for one agree with you. I would like to practice the Faith of my L_rd. If this weren't the case, I would have remained a Christian.

- Donna M. Haskell: After I had read and studied the readings for this day, I must say that I was feeling really guilty. Only because I know that my husband and I were saying that this was our ministry, our bible study. I did not even think that this ministry was God's ministry. Yet I realized that He was bringing the people to us. Also I had to repent because I had started to complain and wishing no one would show up at the bible study so that I could have a quiet evening. How selfish I was, only thinking of myself. And when people would come I would complain. I'm sure that this grieved the Holy Spirit. So when I realized my sin I immediately repented and asked God to change my heart and thinking. I also realized that I needed to give over the ministry and bible study over to Him and that it was His to do with as He wished. Thank you for this study as it made me look at my heart and how I was responding to God and HIS ministry. For all things belong to Him.

- Gerhard: Please correct me if I have got you wrong: What does it matter if you write יהשוע YAHshua or ישוע Yeshua ? Both יה and י refers to Yahweh. Both are followed by שוע (shua), that means that both YAHshua and Yeshua means "YAH cries out for help". shalom

- Ruth H.: THANK YOU. I agree with you. The Harry Potter stories has made the Beast's miracles more acceptable. I saw a few of those movies and they troubled me. I realized - when the kids were scared they reached for thier wands and did magic. What is the opposite of Harry Potter? When we are scared we need to reach for our BIBLES. Everything we do needs to be in light of scriptures. The more we study the scriptures the better we can deal with those who oppose our God. That is the basis for discernment. With that said the intent way out weighs the tone of the letter. I think that it is wonderful that you would go out of your way to correct something that has a very disrespectful meaning to G-D.
