I have previously taught on the Jezebel spirit. Some might be a little skittish about what they learned so I want to encourage you with this short teaching.
The first thing we need to understand when dealing with Satanic forces is that Yeshua through His death and resurrection totally defeated Satan and all his demons, to the point that they will never be the same again.
Colossians 2:13-15 And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that were against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
The principalities and powers referred to here are the various orders and levels of Satan’s kingdom; this is what we are fighting against. But Yeshua by his death and resurrection, “made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them.” In saying “Triumphing over them” Paul is using a Roman military term referring to the celebration of the victory over the battle that had already been won.
Yeshua did two great things for us in His defeat of Satan. He destroyed our guilt and made it possible for us to be forgiven of all our previous sins, “having forgiven you all trespasses.” Every sin we have ever committed has been forgiven, therefore, if we walk in guilt for past sins it becomes a lever that Satan can use against us. The second thing Yeshua did, and listen now very carefully so that you don’t misunderstand me; Yeshua has abolished the Torah as the means to achieve righteousness with God. He has not abolished the Torah as part of the Word of God, or as part of the history of Israel, or all the lessons that we learn from Torah, or all the commandments that we need to follow that have application today, but He has abolished the Torah as the means of achieving righteousness with God.
James 2:10 For whoever shall keep the whole Torah, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.
So when Yeshua died on the cross and was resurrected he put an end to Torah as the means of achieving righteousness with God. “having nailed it to the cross.” because we could not fulfill it totally anyway. Now our righteousness does not depend on us keeping commandments, it depends on our faith in the redeeming power of what Yeshua did for us at Calvary. We are justified, made righteousness by faith and faith alone.
Galatians 2:16 knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Yeshua HaMashiach, even we have believed in Messiah Yeshua, that we might be justified by faith in Messiah and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.
So let no accusation, no failure ever move you from your faith in what Yeshua did. He died in your place, to pay for all your sins and by it He has declared you righteous. Because of what Yeshua did for you, you have been found not guilty by God; the cross is your basis of victory.
