Our Congregation’s name is taken from two main scriptures: (1) Isaiah 44:6 “Thus says HaShem, the Melech Yisrael, Redeemer, HaShem of Hosts; the First and the Last, there is no G-d besides Me” and (2) John 1:49 “Rabbi, You are the Son of G-d (His humanity as King of Davidic dynasty); You are the Melech Yisrael.” We believe Yeshua HaMashiach is Divine. He is the Son of Man (His deity) in Daniel’s vision. He is the Seed of the Woman and of Abraham and both the Root (preexisting) and Jewish Shoot (Word made flesh) of David.

At Congregation Melech Yisrael, we are not just a Congregation, we are a family. We welcome all Yeshua’s disciples and those who are curious to learn about Him. Our vibrant community is a blend of Messianic Jewish and non-Jewish Believers. 

Our uniqueness as believers who are bonded together in the unity of the Spirit is that we worship HaShem in spirit and truth, in the beauty of the ancient customs and traditions of the Torah and Jewish people as they center on our King. We are Father-focused, Messiah-centred, and Spirit animated. We preserve these traditions to demonstrate G-d’s faithfulness to His prophetic promises to Israel in our Master, Yeshua HaMashiach and of life with G-d in Him. He is the living incarnate Torah who came to faithfully fulfil the Torah and not abolish it. 

As we eagerly await His return to inaugurate the Messianic Era on earth in  Jerusalem, we are actively reflecting the light of the Kingdom of Heaven and honouring our King. Our purpose is to serve as a beacon to the world, teaching the Torah of Yeshua and bridging the gap between the vast world of Judaism and those who believe that the promised Mashiach has come and will return.
